Successfully configured RIS (Remote Installation Services) on Active Directory server today. I ahve also got the remote software deployment configured so that software can be assigned to users or computers based on group policy. Things to remember are DHCP server must be configured correctly first, RIS server must be installed and enabled (in active directory users and computers). For the remote software deployment, the local computer account trying to install must have READ permissions on the client install share and READ+EXECUTE on the file system permissions for that shared directory.
